AN ARGUMENT AT A LOCAL BAR

The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 29-year-old male. He was arrested and booked at the Yakima County Jail on the charge of Vehicular Homicide after his vehicle was found in the Moxee area. Court documents say the two were at a local bar and had been in a argument before the crash. Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information regarding this incident, is asked to please contact Detective Lukas Hinton at (509) 575-3509 or contact Yakima Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.

Yakima Police say the crash was reported at about 6:44 am Monday at the intersection of South Fair Ave and East Maple Street. A press release from the Yakima Police Department says the driver of a truck was southbound on Fair Ave and failed to see a 12-year-old pedestrian crossing westbound in the marked crosswalk.

THE 12-YEAR-OLD WAS TAKEN TO A YAKIMA HOSPITAL

The 12-year-old was taken to Multi Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation of a possible head injury. Police aren't saying if the driver was cited.
