Free Sober Rides Program

We’re committed to preventing DUIs and their tragic consequences. That’s why we’re offering free rides home to anyone who has been drinking in Yakima County.

Holidays bring extra celebrations—and extra risks on the road. With more people drinking and driving, it’s especially dangerous during major holidays when enforcement is stricter. To help, we’re offering a simple program: if you’ve been drinking, take a taxi or ride-sharing service home, pay upfront, and we’ll reimburse you via PayPal. Make the right choice and stay safe.

Qualifying 2026 Holidays

Memorial Day – May 25, 2026
Independence Day – July 4, 2026
Labor Day – September 7, 2026
Halloween – October 31, 2026
New Year’s Eve & Day – December 31, 2026 & January 1, 2027

Here are the details:

Rides must be in Yakima County or the surrounding area.
Rides must be taken between 6 pm on the day of the holiday and 4 am on the following day.
You must be of legal drinking age to qualify (21 and over).
Valid for one, one-way ride to a safe destination.
Limit one reimbursement per household.
Maximum value of $30.00 anywhere in Yakima County.
Participation in this promotion is limited to the first 25 submissions.
Within 7 days of the end date, a Receipt, Photocopy of a Valid Driver’s License, and email address associated with a PayPal account must be sent to:
