Granger City, WA (09/12/2020) — A northbound Chevrolet C6500 crossed the centerline on State Route 223 near Granger City and collided with another vehicle around 9:00 PM on Saturday.
Hugo Nunez, the driver of the C6500, was injured in the crash and transported to Astria Sunnyside Hospital. The Washington State Patrol declared the other driver dead on the scene. The initial press release did not identify the deceased driver.
The WSP is still investigating the accident’s cause, but the initial memo states that drugs and alcohol were not involved.
