COWLITZ COUNTY, WA (Mar 8, 2023) — On Wednesday afternoon, one person died and two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Cowlitz County.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision occurred around 3:18 p.m. on SR04 close to milepost 53. An eastbound black 2013 Ford F-150 crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound gray 2016 Honda CRV.
The Honda’s driver and passenger were taken to PeaceHealth St. Johns Medical Center.
Terry L. Heagy, a 70-year-old passenger from Cathlamet, passed away later at the hospital.
David L. Florek, 35, of Kelso, who was operating the Ford, was also sent to PeaceHealth St. Johns Medical Center for treatment.
No additional details about the crash have been released at this time.
