Nine Mile Falls, WA — The motorcyclist killed in a crash early Friday morning Sept. 7th in Nine Mile Falls has been identified by police.
The Washington State Patrol says 25-year-old Christopher Midwell of Spokane Valley died when his motorcycle collided with a car near mile marker 5 on Highway 291 north of Spokane just before 3 a.m. Friday morning.
Troopers said Midwell was speeding northbound, veered into the southbound lane and collided with a car. He was thrown off the motorcycle and died.
Police cited reckless driving as the cause, and said Midwell was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
A person inside the car, identified as 23-year-old Thomas Strader of Spokane Valley, was transported to Sacred Heart medical center with unknown injuries.
