KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. (June 26, 2019) One woman was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck that occurred on State Route 97 in the morning on Friday, June 26.

According to state troopers, Barbara Lott, 75, was traveling southbound on State Route 97 when she drifted into the oncoming lane where she struck a Nissan SUV before crashing into a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan, 61-year-old Robert Dernay, had swerved to avoid Lott and hit a semi-truck. Dernay was airlifted to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.

All three drivers were wearing their seatbelts, and no citations were issued in connection with the accident.
