Tukwila, Wash. (August 9, 2019) — An accident involving a motorcycle and a car left the rider dead on Tuesday night, August 6th. Details about the crash are forthcoming as authorities continue to investigate.
This crash marks the sixth motorcycle fatality in 6 days and comes just 2 days after another motorcycle crash that occurred on the Maple Valley Highway. In that crash, a woman who is believed to have been drunk driving crashed into the back of a motorcycle sitting on the side of the I-5.
Washington State Patrol said that crashes occur more frequently in sunny weather because more riders come out. They are urging both riders and drivers to be extra careful.
