ELLENSBURG, Wash. (Sept. 9, 2019) — A man has died following a single-car accident Thursday afternoon Sept. 5th on I-90 east of Ellensburg.  

According to the Washington State Patrol, 69-year-old Gary Payne was driving eastbound on I-90 at about 1.30 p.m. Thursday when his car left the roadway near milepost 113 and rolled into the median. 

Payne, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.  

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
