KENNEWICK, Wash.- UPDATE 9:04 p.m. According to a press release sent by Kennewick Police Department Commander Christian Walters, Steptoe Street is now open. 

According to KPD, the crash occurred near the entrance of Santiago Estates at 2105 Steptoe Street. 

It was found that the Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Steptoe Street. The Honda Civic was preparing to make a left hand turn into the trailer park at 2105 Steptoe Street. 

The second vehicle involved in the crash was a Dodge Journey. The dodge attempted to avoid the Honda Civic making the turn and crashed near the entrance of the trailer park. 

The Honda Civic had extreme front end damage and both occupants were transported to a local hospital for injuries. 

One occupant from the Honda Civic is reportedly in serious condition with life-threatening injuries, 

The driver of the Dodge was not injured. 

According to KPD, it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. 

The crash is still under investigation according to KPD.
