Crash on Route 12

Yakima, WA A man from Yakima died late Saturday evening when his car careened off of the road. The crash took place on Route 12 near the Nelson Bridges around 11:34 pm. 

Jeffrey Brownlee, 61, drove his Jeep Grand Cherokee down Route 12. Police say that the cause of the crash is speeding. His car left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and landed in the left lane.

Mr. Brownlee died at the scene. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a part of the crash. Brownlee’s vehicle was the only vehicle invovled in the crash.
